It is headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Franconia, Germany. The company was founded in 1924 as a manufacturing company of sports footwear in Herzogenaurach, Germany. In 1948 the two brothers of this manufacturing company both continued operations of their own, Adi Dassler's company grew into adidas and Rudolph Dassler's company grew into PUMA.
