Wij nodigen u graag uit om op dinsdag 5 april aanwezig te zijn bij een bijzonder event. Een levendig en inspirerend seminar, waarbij Lidewij Edelkoort op de voor haar zo kenmerkende wijze de ontwikkelingen in trends, kleur, vorm en materiaal met u zal delen in de presentatie; “A LABOUR OF LOVE, clothes that work as hard as we do”.

A garment can be so spectacular that we don’t even have to act or talk; it speaks for itself, the job is done. Clothes are destined to help us be and express ourselves. They are invented to do the work and guide and protect people. Garment and textile design is therefore the science of human experiences and their repercussions on the weight of a fabric, the tactility of a yarn, the nobility of a fiber. This notion is beginning to infiltrate the world of fashion design and is producing a young generation of post-pragmatic designers that produce – as the formidable Suzy Menkes calls them – clothes that work as hard as we do. Daarnaast zal Lidewij Edelkoort de trends in ACTIVE & SPORTS WEAR voor 2017/2018 tonen in de presentatie “THE ART OF SPORT” en is er de beeldschone presentatie “LET THERE BE LIGHT” waarin ze specifiek stil zal staan bij de kleuren en kleurcombinaties voor het winterseizoen. Een compleet nieuwe en innovatieve kijk op kleur.

Uiteraard krijgt u de gelegenheid om uw eigen vraag te stellen aan Lidewij Edelkoort.

Een ongekend inspirerende presentatie over de kleuren, trends en styles voor het winterseizoen 2017/2018 door Lidewij Edelkoort. De presentatie getiteld ‘A LABOUR OF LOVE, clothes that work as hard as we do’ is een visueel spektakel, waarbij beelden van sfeer, kleur en vorm elkaar snel opvolgen en wordt gevolgd door een uitgebreide toelichting door Lidewij Edelkoort. There is a new reality check included in the creative process that makes women search for flat footwear, moving shapes and layered items, a process of normalization that nevertheless produces exceptional creations at times. And sets designers free to focus on materials and colours, to embellish and elevate the normal to a hard-core avant-gardist position, able to sprout a totally different sense of fashions to come. Cut is constructed and engineered, detailing is practical and hands on, fabrics are performing and mobile, layering is purist and simplified. Allure is given by volume and weight. In deze presentatie geeft Lidewij Edelkoort haar visie op de trends in kleur en kleurcombinaties voor 2017/2018. Een compleet nieuwe en innovatieve kijk op kleur en kleurgebruik voor het winterseizoen. For the first time in a decade, people feel that they are emerging from the tunnel of social and economic darkness that has held them captive for so long. The shackles of economic restraints are timidly shaken off, and another creative spirit is arsing where colour and textile will motivate a rekindled appetite to dress.
